Hand Painted Jacaranda Wood Elephant Pencil

A group of artisans in the Gikomba carving cooperative society outside Nairobi, Kenya, hand carve fun safari animal heads from jacaranda wood, affix them to wooden pencils and hand paint bright animal print finishes. These elephant pencils are painted gray and feature a trunk-up elephant.
